​The "Prince Henry the Navigator"​ Free Tech Zone (Regulatory Sandbox) is a dedicated area aiming at providing the environmental conditions and operational capabilities for experimentation and operational testing to both manned and unmanned systems and associated sensors in different domains, such as, underwater, surface, and above water. It can also be used for other emerging​ and disruptive technologies (EDT) for both civil and military uses, mainly for defence, safety and security purposes. ​​
